Senior Physician Group

This Presidential Ad Hoc Committee is composed of emeritus, retired and practicing physicians 60 years of age or older. The mission of this group is to provide an opportunity and a vehicle for CMS senior physicians to support the Society, perform outreach endeavors, offer educational opportunities, and engage in political participation and mentoring programs.

The Senior Physicians Group will use their knowledge, skills and the fruits of their professional and life experiences to enrich the existing committee efforts of CMS. Chaired by CMS Past President and Councilor Joseph L. Murphy, MD, the group meets every five weeks to plan events that enrich the Society. Past activities have included an educational seminar on PNA Fish and member recruitment drives.
