Online Medical and Legal CME Topics Galore
Licensure renewal deadline only three months away
The Chicago Medical Society (CMS) has launched a new online education center that will help you fulfill your requirement of 150 Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours. With the licensure deadline coming up on July 31, CMS has teamed with major groups to offer special discounts on CME activities. Members of CMS, the American Medical Association (AMA), and the American Bar Association (ABA) qualify for these discounts.
The ABA Health Law Section and CMS partnered in 2012 to co-host educational programs for physicians and their lawyers. Now these sessions have been adapted into online CME covering a range of medical-legal issues. These on-demand webinars give an overview of changes in the health care delivery system, their impact on medical practice, and strategies to meet these challenges. The webinars cover medical staff trends, physician impairment, conflict management, and the latest approaches to criminal and civil actions affecting physicians.
Examples of on-demand webinars include:
- Physician Wellness: The Medical and Legal Shift Toward a Culture of Safety
- Principles for Physician Employment
- Ethics and the Competing Roles of the Medical Staff
- Evolving Trends in Physician-Hospital Contracting
- Fair Market Evaluations: Exploring the Black Box
